Takes over the family road construction business following his father’s passing.
1974
Establishes Schembri Brothers with his siblings.
1977
Expands into concrete, brick production, and construction through new ventures and strategic partnerships.
1979
Co-founds Schembri Barbros and Barbros Group, focusing on large-scale infrastructure projects.
1988
Launches a family-led business platform, laying the foundation for future family involvement in the business.
1989
Enters the fuel retail sector through the development of service stations.
1990
Launches Schembri Concrete Blocks, expanding manufacturing operations, and enters the hospitality sector with the opening of the Sliema Chalet Hotel.
