Role Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to further their career within a dynamic and expanding group. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the Group’s financial operations and ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of the management accounts
• Assisting in the preparation of company forecasts
• Assisting in the preparation of a consolidated annual budget based on the plans and objectives of the Board
• Performing monthly reconciliations related to the finance department
• Coordinating the external audits and finance related internal audits as may be required
• Maintaining accurate accounting records
• Maintaining and assisting in updating the internal control system around finance processes
• Preparing additional ad-hoc reporting as requested by management, banks and other stakeholders
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Directors or the Chief Financial Officer which duties shall cover those activities and responsibilities which are considered as falling within the ordinary competence of such title and role.

Skill-sets, Requirements & Qualifications:

• In possession of a University Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification such as ACCA
• Candidates in the final stages of their ACCA qualification will be considered also
• Work experience in a similar position will be considered an asset
• Fluency in written and oral English and Maltese
• Be highly motivated and organised
• Be able to work under pressure and on own initiative
• Have a pleasant personality
