SALV Properties, a business unit operating within SALV Group, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join its growing team within the construction sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to become part of a dynamic Projects Team, contributing to the successful planning, cost management, and delivery of multiple projects. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed efficiently, while maintaining high standards of quality and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing project plans, including program of works, budgets, resource allocation and timelines.
  • Overseeing all aspects of project development coupled with knowledge of the finishing phases of the developments and adhering to the pre agreed list of finishing specs
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring that deadlines are adhered to during the various phases of the project in line with the program of works
  • Managing relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, architects, and other partners
  • Liaising with stakeholders for drafting of BOQs for tender bids with required specs and analysis of documents received from bidding suppliers
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders in the projects being developed
  • Directing, supervising, and troubleshooting common issues that arise on-site
  • Coordinating & keeping accurate records of all documentation related to such projects/properties
  • Monitor project budgets on an ongoing basis
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality
  • Conducting post-project reports to analyse the success or developments needed
  • Reporting to the Head of Projects or any other reporting line regarding proposals, budgeting and other matters, as well as preparing and presenting progress reports as necessary
  • Developing and implementing strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs whilst ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide general administrative support as necessary

Skill-sets and Requirements:

  • Candidates must already be based in Malta
  • Excellent command in Maltese and English
  • Hold a valid and clean driving licence
  • Ability to read architectural & structural plans, think critically and come up with solutions
  • Excellent command of project management software, AutoCad and other related tools
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, contracts, and safety standards
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and project management skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as lead, motivate and train people

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management or a related field
  • At least 3 years of prior local experience as a Site Manager, Project Manager or in a similar role within the Construction industry
  • Familiarity with various construction methods and technologies
  • Applications from Draughtspersons and Architects are also welcome and valued
